Jenna Bernhardt
Healthy Living Director at Family Wellness

I graduated NDSU with an Exercise Science Degree. I have been personal training for 9 years with a National Academy of Sports Medicine certification. I love learning new ways to incorporate fitness, and have obtained certifications in Silver Sneakers, TRX, Kettlebell, HITT, Tabata, Bodyweight, Tires, Ropes, and Squats, and Circuit. I have a strong passion for helping people at any stage of their fitness journey. I am Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certified and a Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach. I am also the coordinator of a free cancer survivor program, “Livestrong”, and have just created a children's cancer program called "Stay Strong". 
 My fitness staff below are professional, experienced, and ready to help you!
They have clients that range from youth, athletes, and seniors! 

Amy Nitschke
I was born and raised in Mandan, ND. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Exercise Science. I have a Personal Trainer Certification in ACSM.Throughout my life I have been very active in sports as a basketball and soccer player, but really started taking interest in health and wellness during college. I am very passionate about helping people, not only reach their fitness goals, but teaching proper technique and implementing a wellness program that creates lifelong habits.My personal training sessions will not only push you a little beyond your comfort

 

 

Chelsea Roberts
I was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota. I am currently attending the University of Mary as an exercise science student and plan to move on to the graduate program in Physical Therapy in the fall of 2019. My passion for fitness started in high school during sports, but has really continued grow the last couple years as I have worked on my own fitness goals. I am certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and I look forward to helping clients reach their own specific goals. I think it is important that individuals find the type of fitness that interests them most to create a real lifestyle change. Alyssa Bruer
I was born and raised in a small town in North Dakota. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at the University of Mary in April 2017, and am currently attending UMary to attain my Master of Science in Kinesiology in 2019. I am a NETA certified personal trainer, and am also a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Athletics have always been an important aspect of my life, and I enjoy helping others find their passions in overall health and wellness. I have always been an advocate for health and wellness, which is why I enjoy working in this field. It is my job to help others reach their goals while providing education, motivation, and knowledge. 

 

 

 Amber Daner
My name is Amber Daner. I was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. My fitness journey started with lots of uncertainty and frustration. I hated working out! My life changed forever when I found exercises that I loved. I am passionate about helping people find new and exciting ways to exercise while perfecting form and creating an environment for success! I hold a certificate in personal training and many other group fitness formats. Let's take the dread out of working out out and have some fun in the gym. 

 

 

 

Kayla Schmidt 

Fitness Program Coordinator 
 I grew up on a farm in Baldwin, ND. I now live in Bismarck with my Husband and three dogs. It was my own fitness journey that encouraged me to pursue a career in health and fitness. Exercise continues to make a noticeable difference in my Life, mind & body. I wanted to encourage others to encorporate exercise into theirs lives consistently. I started with group fitness. I fell in love with motivating and encouraging others and showing people that fitness can be enjoyable. Group Exercise only made me want to do more. I continued my education and was certified as a personal trainer. I enjoy personal sessions as well as dual session and bootcamps. I believe staying consistent and reflecting on your choices, along with a little support, will improve your quality of life. 

Mary Winbauer
I was born in Mandan and raised in Bismarck. After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education, I returned to teach in Mandan. I had been privileged to work with a unique population of Mandan youth for 34 years.
My fitness journey began in 1980 when I decided to improve my health with daily walks. I also found that I enjoy reading and learning about health and fitness. My journey evolved over the years and I started to include strength training into my weekly routine. Being active and improving my strength gave me a new perspective to life. I enjoy walking, hiking, riding bike, cross country skiing, strength training and clog dancing.
When I retired, I was offered a part time position working the front desk of Sanford Woman’s Health Center in Bismarck, which had been my gym for over 30 years! My passion for sharing fitness grew and I decided to look into becoming a personal trainer. I earned my certification as a Certified Fitness Trainer through International Sports Science Association in August 2015. My continuing education has had a focus on working with the “mature adult”, you know, people my age!

I truly enjoy helping people realize an improved quality of life through their efforts in the gym.

 I am North Dakota native, raised in Dickinson and a graduate of the University of Mary. I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Health and Wellness. I am working towards a Pesronal Training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have a passion for health and fitness and enjoy helping others find that passion as well. I tailor my workouts to not only meet the goals and expectations of the client, but also push them, increasing motivation to train throughout life and improving self confidence. I look forward to helping individuals overcome obstacles and reach their goals.
